NLP4PM - making soft skills less hard

NLP4PM - making soft skills less hard

25 Oct 2011

A most interesting presentation at a meeting of the APM Thames Valley branch was given by Dr Peter Parkes on 12th October. He talked from his own experience about the value of using Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) in project management.

Much of what was presented is in Peter's book, NLP for Project Managers published earlier this year.  The website at http://nlp4pm.com/ builds on this book and offers follow-up resources, coaching and training. It was set up as a single point of resource and community for those active in the field of project management to develop their skills through NLP.

In the third part of the book there is a most useful discussion of the various techniques in the NLP toolbox that can be used in developing competence in 19 people skills for project management.
